Medium Plus Ride

Route 31 was followed. The main talking point was where to take tea. Despite the dry weather forecast it started to rain as we made our way across the deer park to Fountains which made stopping there a wise decision – except it was half-term and there was a logjam of cars and then a queue to even get in the café doors. Sod that for a paso doble we thought and jived off in the sunshine. Except that it was raining again by the time we arrived at the Drovers cross-road. Mike and Mark went straight on to Ripley (and home) leaving Colette, Vince and Tall Tim to dine at a busy Sophie’s (that was also feeding quite a number of other Wheel Easy members). For some reason the staff at Sophie’s all seemed to know Colette by name. 35 miles in total.
