Medium Ride

The much awaited return of a Wednesday ride saw a hardy bunch turn up at Hornbeam with enough enthusiasm to make up for the reduced numbers. For now there was just one medium ride on offer, but maybe it will grow to more as and when groups start coming back. Our group of “COVID” 6 included three people not actually called Tim and we headed out in bright sunshine to the Ouseburns via Farnham. Apart from a minor incident when Mark discovered he’d dropped his hat and had to go back for it, decent progress was made and we soon approached Tancred Farm Shop. One Tim headed on alone, so we were suddenly down to our last two Tims. Refuelling ensued, with the highlight being the excellent food rather than the cows that had licked various saddles and handlebar tape over the fence whilst we did so. Missing Tim’s place was filled by David, despite not being called Tim, and we headed back via Cattal and Spofforth. 40 miles and back before the rain.   VinceG
