UCI Week – Bike Spares and Accessories Jumble Sale
Thu 26th and Fri 27th 1200-1600 – Bike Spares Jumble Sale – Resurrection Bikes
Message from John Rowe of Resurrection Bikes
“Lots of generous people give us bike parts and accessories to use or sell as well as donating whole bikes. The parts and accessories aren’t very visible in our cramped cellar space so we thought this would be a great opportunity to run a jumble sale in the hall at Westcliffe Hall. We have large items like car bike carriers, bike luggage racks, child seats, as well as a range of bike components, some of which are rare classic parts. Come and have a rummage and see if you can find a bargain. All funds will go towards the charities we support.
As part of the event, Resurrected Bites (yes, ‘Bites’ – it’s the Pay-As-You-Feel Community Cafe based in St Mark’s Church), will be providing refreshments / cafe using food recycled from local supermarkets and shops into delicious snacks. We will also have our hand built pedal powered smoothie maker – see if your legs can make you a smoothie!
We hope to be able to screen the UCI events too so you can keep up with results of the racing. We are only a few minutes walk from the circuit at Valley Drive so you can nip across quickly at the key times.
Donations welcome – If you have any unwanted bike bits, accessories or bike clothing lying around then we would be very happy to receive them for our jumble sale. Just drop them off during our opening hours, details on the website. Thank you.”
