Medium Ride

Well the weather forecast proved wrong for the three of us who took up the medium ride this morning. I had the pleasure of Paul and Steve’s company. For Steve it was his introduction to WE and he decided to ‘test’ the water with our ride. Good steady progress to Burn Bridge and up Brackenthwaite Lane and down to Beckwithshaw. Across to Little Almscliff where we took in the views. On towards Menwith Hill swinging into Birstwith and on to Hampswaite. Sophie’s was closed for some maintenance work. A quick discussion with some ladies who were also kicking in the door we decided on heading for Ripley. So a deviation up Clint Bank and then Hollybank to the castle cafe. Suitably refreshed Greenway home. Steve coped admirably and I hope to see him out again soon. Nice steady ride. 28 miles for me. Thanks both. Colin B
