Wednesday 5th. July
Wednesday Wanderers Ride
Route 225 to Kirkby Overblow, Bramham and Thorp Arch proved very popular among Wanderers today so we split into two teams. Team 1 comprising Mike C, Mike W, Mike P, Derek, David, Richard, Colin, Karen and Tim 2 set off at a brisk pace to keep warm on what was an overcast, cool and breezy morning. Both teams met up at Tim’s Cafe before returning home, Team 1 deviating along Harland Way. Good cycling in good company – 42 miles, 2426 ft of climbing at an average speed of 10.6 mph for me. Tim 2.

Another Wednesday Wanderers Ride
There were about 16 riders for today’s ride so we split into 2 groups of 8 and I lead the slower group. The route was Burnbridge, Kirkby Overblow, Wetherby then south on the cycle path running to the left of the motorway. To the south of Bramham we turned along Spen Common Lane then followed Rudgate Lane and Iver the river into Thorp Arch where both groups had lunch. The return was via Wetherby and the bridle path which took us to Spofforth, Follifoot, the Showground and Harrogate. About 36miles.
Thanks everyone for your support and company. Liz
