Wednesday 30th. March

Four hardy souls turned up at the Showground today, Liz, Sarah, Paul and myself and decided to make it worthwhile getting all togged up in wet weather gear and to feel we had earned a coffee! By mutual consent the objective was Wetherby via Rudding, Spofforth and Little Ribston, which was achieved in relatively “light” rain but in cold conditions that made the coffee and scones in Pomfrets very welcome.Having warmed up and dried out we encountered Terry Smith and Lesley & Richard Sacre on a similar mission and left them to the delights of Pomfrets to returned to Harrogate via Sicklinghall and Kirby Overblow.  Depending on the starting point we had 25/30 miles of exercise in conditions not as bad as forecast and the usual good social interaction.
