Ride Reports

Wednesday 2nd December

Medium Plus Brisk

Ten brave souls assembled at Hornbeam for the resumption of club rides under the watchful eye of our Chairman, who had kindly turned out to see the groups off before his own ride – thanks James! We dutifully divided into two random groups and the first 5 set off on dry roads under cloudy skies in the direction of Farnham via Low Bridge. All went well and before we knew it Tancred Farm Shop appeared in our sights for a take away coffee option. The weather was kind as we stood outside for somewhat less time than we might have sat inside, and we soon headed off into a light headwind to warm up. The sun came out to encourage us and 5 happy riders returned to the Showground, delighted to be back in (small) groups again. Thanks to Giselle, Helen, Zoë and Mark for a great ride, and Colette for the picture taken by James.

Route 168 – 2 rides in one day really. Warmish calm conditions (bearing in mind it is December) for the ride out to Trancred farm where we were allowed to eat and drink outside in our group – Mike, Colette, Jeremy, Tim No.1 & Tall Tim. And then at approximately 11:13 a.m. a cold front came over, drove away the darker clouds and brought in clear skies, sunshine, some wind but also a drop in temperature for the return journey. Just good to be out and about again and keep the wheels turning.
