Route description: A hilly ride in Swaledale Leaving Richmond the route heads up The Stang, over into Arkengarthdale and down to Reeth. The final leg takes you through the pretty village of Marske and some striking lower Swaledale scenery before dropping back down to Richmond.
Travel time from Harrogate: 55mins.
Car Parking: Nuns Close car park. Hurgill Road, Richmond, DL10 4UN. The all day charge is £4.50 – coins only – no change given. You also have the option to pay for your parking via your phone using the RingGo app.
Toilets/Refreshments at start: There are toilets in the car park which cost 20p. Early morning coffee available either as a take away from Total Energies garage close by on junction of Hurgill Road and Victoria Road or The Little Drummer Boy Tea Room is about 5 minutes walk away on Finkle Street and opens at 9am
Coffee Stop: There is a coffee stop after 15 miles at Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop. They provide hot drinks, breakfast rolls, scones or teacakes. https://crosslanesorganics.co.uk/
