Chevin Cycles and Wheel Easy are pleased to host an evening talk by Guy Kesteven and his wife Sarah.

Sarah and Guy are from Pedalling Past, a YouTube video channel and Komoot page created to help people explore the fascinating history of our country in the best way possible: by bike.

Guy has decades of experience creating routes, guidebooks and videos for magazines, websites and projects such as Cycling UK’s King Alfred’s Way, West Kernow Way, Rebellion Way and Traws Eyri routes. He also has a degree in Archaeology and worked on sites across the UK for several years. Sarah has a life long passion for history – particularly the surprising and secret bits – and loves exploring the maze of quiet back roads and easy tracks that they join together to make their routes. Both of them also have a very healthy appetite for the tea, cake, cafes and pub lunches that they think are an essential part of any good ride.

We’d love you to join us at Cold Bath Clubhouse to hear Sarah and Guy explain a little bit more about why they think bikes are the perfect way to time travel through the countryside, how they research, create and film the routes and some of the stories behind their adventures. We’d also love to hear what you think of the idea of combining pedalling and the past and what you’d look for in your ideal ride guide.
