A Timely Reminder

Our thanks go to Wheel Easy rider, Ros Leach, who emailed us with the following timely reminder that as roads get busier we need to be even more alert to possible dangers:

“Just a suggestion to be extra vigilant if using the back road from Ilkley to Otley through Askwith on a Sunday afternoon. There was a cyclist fatality last Sunday (2nd April, 2023). Some drivers go at excessive speeds. In fact lower Wharfedale generally on a sunny Sunday can be incredibly busy. Not my place of choice for cycling at that time of day.”
