Route 80

White Horse Bank (64 miles)

From Harrogate head to Knaresborough. Leave Knaresborough on the A6055 taking the left turn to Farnham. Follow the route to Staveley, Minskip and Boroughbridge. The route leaves Boroughbridge towards Milby, Hutton Sessay, crossing the A19 and heading to Coxwold. From Coxwold turn left to Kilburn and then take the right turn up White Horse Bank. Follow the road to the junction with the A170 and turn left down Sutton Bank. At the bottom of Sutton Bank take the first left (minor road to Osgoodby and Balk) heading to Bagby, Dalton and Topcliffe. Leave Topcliffe through the village of Asenby. Cross the A168, head to Cundall, Norton le Clay and back to Boroughbridge. Return to Knaresborough via Roecliffe, Bishop Monkton and Copgrove. Mostly flat with one challenging – but doable – hill of 25%.
