Boroughbridge (twice), Myton-on-Swale, Farnham (twice) (49 miles)
Calcutt, L to Low Bridge Knaresborough, R to Abbey Road, L at T junction, across A59 to Chain Lane, continue along Half Penny Lane. Turn R at Boroughbridge Road, then L to Farnham, R at T junction, continue to Ferrensby, Arkendale, over A1(M) then L to A168, R to Marton-Cum-Grafton. First L to Marton continue along Grafton Lane turn R Chapel Hill and L at B6265 to Boroughbridge (cafés). Aldborough, Dunsforths to Great Ouseburn, L through village, L at T junction to Aldwark toll bridge, L to Flawith, do not take turning to Tholthorpe, L to Myton (ignore cul de sac sign). Worth continuing through hamlet of Myton and straight on to see restored bridge over Swale with fine sign at far end commemorating Battle of Myton, 1319AD. Return through Myton, take first L along delightful historic road until L just before entering Helperby and R at Brafferton to Thornton Bridge. Over bridge, and L down to Boroughbridge. L at roundabout straight turn R at Roecliffe Lane, continue through Roecliffe, just over a mile at a sharp bend turn L to take a track to Copgrove (make sure you don’t take an earlier one to a farm, this one says Private Road, but is a bridleway), at Copgrove go straight on and take the first L to Occaney, Farnham, Lingerfield, Scriven, Knaresborough
