Route description: The ride goes out to Grindleton, Stonyhurst College, Ribchester, Brockhall Village, Whalley Viaduct, Pendleton, Worston and then back to Downham.
Travel time from Harrogate: 1 hour. Downham is off the A59 just before Clitheroe. Turn right signposted Chatburn/Downham and turn left at the junction to Downham.
Car Parking: Parking for the ride is at the end of Downham Village opposite the Ice Cream Shop. Parking is free.
Toilets/Refreshments at start: There are free toilets in the car park. There is no café in the village for early morning coffee so either stop on route or bring a flask.
Coffee Stop: This is a one stop ride. No coffee stop
Lunch Stop: Lunch at Ribchester (18.5 miles) at the Potters Barn café on Church Street. The menu can be viewed at :- www.potters-barn.com/cafe
Post Ride: There is an Ice Cream Shop that, in the summer, is open for post ride refreshments including tea/cake and ice cream.
