Starting Venue: Hebden Bridge
Route Length: 29 miles
Climbing: 1200m
Route description: A short but hilly ride that ventures into Lancashire(!) around some stunning moorland scenery.
Travel time from Harrogate: 1hr 10 mins
Car Parking: Market Place car park (HX7 7BX). Cost: £5.60 for 8 hrs. Note: there are several other car parks in or around the Town Centre which could be used- all roughly the same cost. No toilets in the Car Park.
Toilets/Refreshments at start: Hebden Town Hall is directly opposite the car park which has a café that opens at 8.30am serving coffee etc. Toilets available to patrons. Tel: 01422 417300; www.hebdenbridgetownhall.org.uk. Other cafés are within 100m mostly open early. There are no Public Toilets in the town centre.
Lunch Stop: An early stop in Haworth (approx 9 miles- but after a lot of climbing!) provides a range of cafés etc to choose from. Wycoller (17 miles) at the Wycoller Craft Centre Tea Rooms (BB8 8SY) Tel: 01282 868395; www.wycollercraftcentre.org.uk. If cycling in a larger group ring in advance and book as it is the only café in the village and gets busy.
