Medium Plus Fast

What a difference 24 hours made, those that could make it met at Hornbeam at 09.30 for a shorter than usual ride. 4 turned up Tony, Martyn,Dave and Grant we set of in the bright but cold towards Beckwithshaw up Norwood lane, we were all a bit wary of ice but none was on that section. Right turn at the T junction then left down to Swinstey this was taken with care but still no ice. Over the dam head with the mill pond view of both reservoirs then up to Timble, the first patch of ice some wheel spins but no offs. Then it was left at the main road towards Askwith moor where we were greeted with stunning views over towards Eggborough power station and beyond. Then right down Askwith lane
towards Otley. We then had our usual blast towards Pool then the return was Castely, Weston, Kirby then Pannal and back up Green Lane as we were heading towards Cold Bath Road for a coffee stop at the wonderful Deli where we said goodbye to Dave. So three tucked into home made African vegetable soup and coffee excellent end to a stunning winter ride.
