Thorsten Bruce is a member of the Harrogate Rotary Club and earlier this year he undertook a charity challenge to ride a bike supplied to him by Spa Cycles in Starbeck from Harrogate to Nepal unaided and unsupported except for a few family and friends who rode with him part of the way. He raised funds for two charities – Young Minds and the Nepal Rainbow Children’s Home Appeal and he is now following this up with a presentation on his trip on 13 May at Roosters Taproom on Hornbeam Park.
Did you know that following his 100 mile ride for charity from Italy to Harrogate in 2009, in 2011 our own Eric Waters cycled 400 miles in the Himalayas and over the highest passable road at 18,400ft also for charity? Just two of the many rides undertaken by Wheel Easy members supporting local, national and international charities over the past 20 years.
