Awayday April 2026

Northallerton and Teeside Wednesday 15th

Starting Venue:Northallerton
Route Length:47 miles
Climbing:1800ft / 600m
Route Description:A relatively flat route which, from the centre of Northallerton, heads north towards Teeside with an early coffee stop at Yarm. The route then follows the Tees valley to Croft-on-Tees before a long gentle climb to Middlleton Tyas. From there the route turns southwards to Ellerton-on-Swale for a late lunch followed by a short return to Northallerton.

Note that at the start heading out of the town there are a number of cycle paths alongside busy main roads which can be used. Also the last mile or so from Yafforth is along the B6271 which can be busy and we should cycle in small groups with gaps to allow cars to pass.
