Ride Reports

Wednesday 3rd November

Wednesday Ride

After a brief discussion four of us decided we wanted a hilly ride so we would head towards Pateley Bridge via Pennypot, Menwith and York’s Folly. It seemed to take ages getting out of Harrogate due to the amount of traffic and road works. Bridget was on her new electric bike so we were all keen to hear about it. It certainly looked great and we were impressed how it performed. Bridget said she was now cycling more miles and going on routes she wouldn’t have on her previous bike. It was a lovely route to  Wildings Tearoom where we met up with the Medium Plus riders. After a good coffee and a bacon and cheese scone we headed home. James and myself returned via the Toll Bridge and Maris and Bridget headed to Brimham. Once again and excellent 40 mile ride in good company. Paul

Wednesday Wanderers

Welcome to new rider, Tim. Thanks to everyone who came on the ride on such a beautiful morning. Hope you all enjoyed the route, courtesy of Michael Smith. Thanks Michael. Lovely leaf colours and some lovely photos by Yvonne. Particularly the 2 Mikes, playing in a puddle with a bicycle inner tube! Great company. Thanks. Mike Wills

Medium Plus Brisk

A group of 4 riders (T1, T3, T4 & Andy) set off ahead of the main group to complete Route 197 that took us up Duck Street Lane and then to the top of Nought Bank Moor. Tea & cake in Wildings where the majority of the customers were Wheel Easy members out enjoying the sunshine (but probably not the wind). Onto Wath & Wath Lane with it’s drainage gulleys before returning via Fellbeck & Ripley. 41.6 miles. Tall Tim (T3).
