Bit of a surprise this morning with grey skies for our medium ride. Five of us departed Hornbeam and headed for Burn Bridge. The Leeds – Harrogate road was very quiet despite it being show week as we negotiated the bypass and then on to Kirby Overblow. Pushing on to Sicklinghall and then Linton where we briefly lost Peter who was waiting for us at the bottom of Jewitt Lane. Onwards and upwards to Bramham. Into Clifford and Boston Spa where we made an executive decision to ‘coffee’ at Da Carlo’s. Grey skies had cleared and very pleasant sitting and chatting in the sun. On to Thorp Arch and the Harland Way back to Wetherby then Spofforth. Follifoot Rudding Park and the showground which was busy. Peter showing he wasn’t exhausted as he accelerated to avoided a rearing horse. Here we all went our own ways. Thanks to Barbara Karen Paul and Peter for a great ride. 34 miles for me. Colin B
