Every year Peter Lawley organises a very long ride – for 2023 it will be route 96R and will take place on Sunday 9th July.

The route is around 118 miles but in practice it seems to vary every year. This year it will be anti-clockwise. Depending on weather conditions and group decisions we may shorten it on the day.

Depart from the usual place (Yorkshire Show Ground/Squash Club) at 8:00 a.m. with a return before dark I hope (but bring lights anyway). I plan a coffee pause in Masham, lunch in Reeth, tea in Thwaite but again conditions on the day may change that.

This is an outing not a race. I’m sure we’ll have an enjoyable ride as usual.
