Tea Cups Closing
We came across this Facebook post and thought WheelEasy members would be keen to know about the upcoming closure of this much loved Pateley café.
“It is with a sad and heavy heart that we are making this announcement.
Due to new management take over of the mart Andrew and I find ourselves surplus to their requirements so on Sunday July 24th at the end of play we will be closing the doors of the café and Hamster hut for the last time but fear not my fellow earthlings all is not lost as Teacups will be going on tour very soon. We are keeping our page open to update you on our new venture.
Our fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance will now sadly be limited so next time you pass a collection tin may we ask you pop your coppers in and remember Teacups.
I would like to thank a few groups of people.
Our cyclists for giving us endless laughs with your unique attire; we’ll miss you.
Our motor bikers for your bad jokes and banter! Ride safe me old fruits, ride safe.
Our loyal customers who have stuck with us for twelve years the last few being especially trying but we made it and couldn’t have done it without you.
Our wonderful staff past and present (in what ever state you turned up in) not naming anyone Katie Ann Zoë but at least you had Loo to prop you up! Well done girls and thank you.
And finally my long suffering husband Blu who has not only held a full time job but dedicated all his spare time to helping the mart and me.
