Sustrans Volunteer Work Recognised

The Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire has sent this card to the Sustrans volunteers who work on clearing the cycle paths, cutting back hedges etc.

 Jo Ropner (herself a cyclist) has written thanking all the volunteers (many of whom are Wheel Easy members) for all their efforts. She has recognised the importance of walking and cycling in these lockdown times and in particular the Greenway which has been such a huge part of people’s local exercise sessions.

We are absolutely delighted for Terry Smith (who puts in such a lot of time to organising session) and all the volunteers who help out do the work.

It’s great to have their efforts recognised. Well done to all and we look forward to getting back into the monthly sessions soon.
