Tuesday 12th March ’19 10.00 – 12.00 at ASDA path

Dear Volunteers
How the months fly!
After our highly productive session in the rurality of the Beryl Burton path last month, our next session is back in town at the very urban ASDA path linking Dragon Road car park and Grove Park Avenue. We’ve not been to this venue for some time and comments have come in about the deteriorating state of this NCN path. We’ll be pruning back overhanging branches and generally tidying up the vegetation long the fence adjoining the railway line. Being an urban site, there will be some litter picking to do as well as the other urban tasks of checking for and sweeping away broken glass etc. Sometimes there is an ASDA trolley to return to its owners.
Please meet at the Grove Park Avenue end of the path, where I’ll be parked with usual cache of tools and the barrow. We’ll be able to reward ourselves afterwards at “Option Ve” at 108 Mayfield Grove (formerly an Italian cafe bar, now Portuguese, evidently).
We will be joined again this time by our area Supervisor, Sarah Donnelly, who’ll be paying us a regular visit to discuss our needs and aims for the coming six months.
I hope you can join me and I look forward to meeting new volunteers.
