Sustrans Rangers – Tuesday 10th September – Showground

Dear Volunteers

Once again the path leading from St Michael’s Hospice to the Showground needs our tlc package.  When last there about 10 days ago, the path through the woods was well caked in muck and debris and the section at the St Michael’s end was overgrown and narrowed with nettle and bramble, not to mention the invasive Himalayan Balsam.  It was clearly a cry for help!

Let’s see what we can achieve with suitable numbers and willing hands.

If you can make it, please meet at the gate to the Showground off Hookstone Wood Road, opposite the Gym/ Squash club at 10.00.  Sessions finish at 12.00, but we often finish in time for coffee at Indulge.

Sarah Donnelly, our supervisor from Sustrans office will be joining us at c10.30 for her half-yearly visit and looks forward to seeing us all again.

She will also carry out her regular re-test/ renewal of power tool accreditations.  Any power tool operators available on the day would be welcome.

There’s no point in trying to guess the weather these days, so please come suitably dressed – two seasons should be ok but who knows!

I look forward to seeing you there.

New members and the merely curious are all very welcome.
