Follifoot, Knaresborough, Beryl Burton path (15 miles)

Contains short sections of muddy track, otherwise all on tarmac paths.

Down to Hornbeam and R just before the hospice gates then along to Fulwith Mill Ln. L to bottom and R and L to cross the bridge across the river. Up to the railway bridge and follow path to R until reach gate. Through gate and straight up through wood to Follifoot Rd at golf club (take L fork in track shortly before road) and cross road (Care!) to continue along bridleway to southern by pass. Left and down bypass and R (Care!) into Haggs Rd. Down Haggs Rd until L on bridle path just after bungalows. Follow track to Follifoot and pick up road through village all the way to joining Wetherby Rd near Plompton. L and cross that road (Care!) to pick up old road on R through to bypass again. Cross (Care!) into Thistle Hill and immediately take bridle path on R through Birkham Wood. After about half mile track forks into 3. Take L track (which seems to be the least blocked by falling trees). All 3 come out in Lido caravan park. Follow tarmac track through caravan park, eventually turning L down hill and then exiting to B6164 Wetherby Rd. Over bridge, L into Abbey Rd , and continue all the way with river on L to Waterside, finally to A59 Harrogate Rd. L over road bridge and R (Care!) to take Beryl Burton cycle path up long hill. At top go straight on along Bilton Ln to Bilton. After Gardeners Arms take cycle path on L to The Avenue, Starbeck. Follow The Avenue to A59, R (Care!) and L at Co-op along Forest Ave. R on Forest Ln, over railway line, R at roundabout up Hookstone Chase. Just before next roundabout take cycle path to L, and the R fork at playground through to the Stonefall recycling centre and cross Wetherby Rd (Care!) at lights into Railway Rd. Pass Sainsbury’s, continue through Showground.
