Route description: An undulating route with great views around Lower Wensleydale taking in Jervaulx Abbey, East Witton, Middleham Moor (racehorses) and Middleham Castle, and Leyburn.
Travel time from Harrogate: 50mins.
Car Parking: In the Market Square (HG4 4EB) – honesty box/donation is payable. Also there is a long stay car park on the left just after you come over the bridge before entering the town.
Toilets/Refreshments at start:Toilets (free) are just off the Market square (50m). There are a couple of cafes in the Square but only the Border Tea Rooms open at 9am for coffee.

Lunch Stop: In Leyburn (16 miles) there are a number of cafes to chose from. Tennants Auction House cafe is just outside the town and is worth a visit.The menu at
