There was a great turnout at the St Robert’s Club for this year’s Wheel Easy quiz which took place in better weather conditions than last year’s unexpected snowfall. Ten teams filled the room for what was once again a very entertaining challenge from seasoned quiz master Dave Wood, who still managed to find some new cycling references in a very well received quiz. Last year’s “Furthest from the Fire” became “Nearest to the Loos”. “Cycling Weakly” almost lived up to their name but came back strongly! “One Brain Cell” and “Inner Tubes” just managed to avoid the wooden spoon which went to the “Free Wheelers” who found the gradient too steep! Despite a late challenge from “Silk Road,” “Recycled Bottom Bracket” repeated last year’s victory as “Bottom Brackets Ride Again” with an impressive 78 points.
