North Yorkshire Council are holding a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation for vitally needed crossings of Wetherby Road and Oatlands Drive, which will make a huge difference to the cycle network and for the thousands of walkers and cyclists on Slingsby Walk who cross at this point.

As always there is a vocal minority against the changes (and against anything which helps cyclists).
The Wetherby Road crossing will be light controlled. The Oatlands crossing is not light controlled but there are plans for Oatlands Drive to have a 20 mph speed limit.
The Wetherby Road crossing will be better if the lights change to green quickly after the button is pressed (unless people have just crossed). That would be worth mentioning or you can keep it simple by just sending an email supporting the proposals.
