Compact chain-wheels 50/34 with cassette largest cog 34 teeth, this gives lowest gear – 34 x 34 – described as 1 to 1 (1 crank rev. = 1 wheel rev.)
Above drive chain changed to achieve lower gearing. Installed a sub-compact chain-wheel at [46/30] with same ultegra rear drive cassette, result, fantastic transformation – new lowest gear is 30/34 = 1 to 0.88.
