No more arm-aching marathon pumping sessions – just press a button and watch your tyres rise to the occasion. They’re particularly brilliant for tubeless setups that need a quick blast of air to seat properly.
However, hand pumps never run out of battery at the worst possible moment, and they’re lighter than their electric cousins. Plus, there’s something satisfying about manually inflating your way back on the road … isn’t there?
The verdict? Electric pumps are Wheely Easy to use, but a compact hand pump in your jersey pocket ensures you won’t blow it when miles from nowhere. Why not have both? Now that’s thinking under pressure!
