Route Description:An undulating route with great views around Lower Wensleydale taking in Jervaulx Abbey, East Witton, Middleham Moor (racehorses) and Middleham Castle, and Leyburn.
The route is based on Route 1033 from the archive, however it has been update on Ride with GPS (as shown below) to include a new start (car park) and lunch stop.
The updated route also bypasses the 1 mile section through Jervaulx Abbey grounds (at 6.4 miles) as this was found to be flooded on the recent recce.
Travel Time:50mins (22 miles from Harrogate)
Car Parking:Parking beside tennis courts and cricket field (What3Words: ///debater.unsightly.impulsive), with overflow on the other side of the bowling green. There is an honesty box for parking fees.
Facilities at Start:Toilets are just off the Market square at the top of the steps ( 50m) and are free.
There are a couple of cafes in the Square but only the Bordar House Tea Rooms open at 9am for coffee.

Depart:Assemble at the car park, with the first group ready to roll out at 9:30am.
