Best to Avoid Ripley on Sunday 6th November Rides

Thanks to Wheel Easy member Sue Threadgold for giving us advance notice about an event that could mean it will be best to avoid Ripley on Sunday 6th November, at least for a cafe stop!.

Sue Says:

“Nidd Valley Road Runners will be hosting their annual “Guy Fawkes 10” mile road race from Ripley.

The race starts at 10.30am along the high street,  finishing at Ripley Castle.

There are up to 1,000 runners plus family/friends!

The route goes out through Hollybank Woods, Bedlam bank, Birstwith, Kettlesing Bottom, Hampsthwaite (Sophie’s could be busy with spectators), Clint Bank, back through the woods again sort of area.”
