Menwith and Kettlesing (23 miles)

Beckwithshaw, Stainburn Woods and Little Almscliffe, down hill and 1st R (Brown Bank Road). R on B6451 past Sun Inn. Cross A59 (Care!). Up to Menwith Hill. 1st R on Menwith Hill Road. 3rd R (Sleights Lane) to Kettlesing. At T junction turn L to Tang Road. After Tang take R fork (Swincliffe Lane). Birstwith Hall soon appears on L. Take 2nd L and then keep L all way to Hampsthwaite. (Café). Return to Harrogate up Hollins Lane, L on B6161, R (Care!) down Grainbeck Lane. Cross A61 (Care!), down hill briefly and L on Knox Mill Lane. Spruisty Bridge etc. Route 128 offers a minor variation.
