Route Map Leave Hornbeam Park by the new footbridge over railway. After 100m, turn L along cycle path, down steep hill to Crimple Valley, and turn R at bottom. Until bridge has been rebuilt over River Crimple continue across fields to Almsford Bridge. Cross Leeds Road & use pavement to Pannal traffic lights. Turn L along Follifoot Road to rejoin bridle path at end of golf course, turn R over fields, then R again on bridle path to Drury Lane. Cross bypass to Kirkby Overblow. At Barrowby turn R down steep hill then on bridle path to Harewood Bridge. Turn R along A659, after ¼ mile turn L into Harewood Park eventually joining the Leeds Country Way, which takes us off-road to East Keswick. After 1 mile on-road through the village we cross the A659 to join the Ebor Way track for steep hazardous descent to the footbridge over the River Wharfe then climb up to Woodhall, and Linton, and by road to Wetherby for café stop. Join Wetherby-Spofforth cycle track, and then back to Harrogate on the usual roads. Two further off-road options can be taken at the end of the ride: 1. turn right onto a bridle path towards the end of Haggs Road to the horse tunnel under the Harrogate bypass, 2. from Pannal Golf Course on Follifoot Road, drop through the woods, take the bridge across the railway line, water splash through the River Crimple, and return to Hornbeam by the cycle path. Total 30 miles, of which 15 miles are off-road if the final 2 options are taken.
