9.30am Short, medium and long rides

Short/Beginners ride - 

Medium ride – 

Darley, Thornthwaite, Menwith, 28 miles. Hilly.

Hornbeam, Greenway, Ripley, Hollybank Woods, Birstwith, Darley. After P.O. L. up Sheepcote Lane, 2nd R. along Crake Lane, straight on at X-roads to Thornthwaite. Opposite the garage turn  L up My Love Lane, L at T junction at top. Turn L along Menwith Hill Road. Straight over X-roads. 2nd R just before Wayside Farm onto Sleights Lane. Ist L onto Crow Hill Lane. Bear R at next 2 junctions then L at T junction onto Tang Road. Ist R onto Barse Beck Lane. Follow this road down into Hampsthwaite (café). Return to Harrogate via Killinghall and the Greenway.

Medium Plus ride 

Route 204 Beningborough, York, Marston Moor, 57 miles. Flattish.

Hornbeam, Low Bridge Knaresborough, Farnham, Arkendale. Over A1(M) and L on A168 then R past Marton to B6265. R then L to Great Ouseburn. L after Ouseburn to Aldwark Bridge.
Cross Aldwark Bridge and turn R and follow the signs through Linton and Newton-on-Ouse to Beningborough Hall. (Farm Shop cafe). Leaving the Hall continue south on Sustrans Route 65 to York City Centre along by the Ouse.
Cross to R bank of Ouse and continue past Rowntree Park to the Millenium Bridge. Shortly after the path turns R up to road, turn L and almost immediately R to Knavesmire racecourse. Follow path over the Knavesmire, eventually past the Sun sculpture, taking the R fork and ultimately come to the A64 near Tesco. Cycle path goes alongside road for a couple of miles and goes up to roundabout. Go across, towards Askham Bryan and take L to Askham Richard. Through village and L to Long Marston. Continue in same direction for Marston Moor, Tockwith, Cowthorpe, over the A1(M), eventually meeting the B6164 where turn R and then L in Little Ribston following the signs to Spofforth. R to Follifoot and back via Rudding Park to Harrogate.
