9.30am Short, medium and long rides


Short/Beginners ride - Sue Downes

Medium ride – Paul Tindle

Route 109 Otley loop via Lindley, 28 miles. Hilly.

Hornbeam, Burn Bridge, R on A61, over roundabout, first L up Walton Head Lane. Kirkby Overblow, R down to A61. L on A61 and R to Dunkeswick, Weeton, Castley, Pool, straight over A658 onto B6161, L over bridge onto B6451 and continue to Otley. Cafe. Return on B6451, at top of hill turn L to Farnley. Take R fork at school, after Lindley bridge turn 1st L and follow up hill to B6161 where turn L. R on Briscoe Ridge Lane, and straight on until Burn Bridge. L on Burn Bridge Road and follow until R onto Rossett Green Lane, then straight on all way to Hornbeam. 

 Medium Plus ride - Monica & David Webber

Route 123 Ripon, Snape, Masham, Knaresborough, 59miles. Some hills.

Usual route from Hornbeam to Knaresborough, Farnham, Bishop Monkton, Littlethorpe, Ripon. Follow A6108 through Ripon (North St, North Rd) up hill to footpath alongside A61, L at top to Norton Conyers. In Wath first L to Thornborough, L on B6267 and almost immediately R towards Carthorpe. L on Salmon Lane to Snape. Through village to T junction,  R and L up Moor Lane, cross B6268 and down hill to T junction, L and after 1 mile approx R into Masham. L into Market Place, L along Park St, R into Swinton Terrace, Swinton Rd, up hill through Warthersmarske, first L and keep L   to Nutwith Lane, Grewelthorpe, follow signs to Ripon. Return on same route as earlier in day (straight down Sandy Bank after Occaney), to Knaresborough. Up A59 cycle path to Harrogate, R on Bogs Lane, Kingsley Drive and into Harrogate.
